Back to School Basics: 8 Learning Activities for Preschoolers

Over the next few weeks I am planning to share some Back to School Basics posts to help get kids in gear as they start off the new school year.

Today's Back to School Basics post is all about preschool! The ideas shared below include simple activities that practice preschool concepts like colors, shapes, alphabet letters, numbers, etc. Many of the posts also share ways to adapt or change the activities for older kids. Use these posts to introduce new concepts to your preschooler or use them to review things your child entering pre-k or kindergarten already knows.

Here are eight of our Back to School Basics preschool posts...

Shape Spider
Fall Leaf Alphabet Movement Game
Shape Rockets
Making Crayon Shapes
Exploding Names
Color Slam
Alphabet and Vowel Apple Game
M&M School Bus Math
