Why is it called the "Halloween Move & Create for Hope"Series?
This series is dedicated to two amazing women that I know and love.
Our wonderful family friend Eva lost her life to Huntington's Disease 12 years ago. Eva was the kind of mom who was always doing fun things with her kids and thoughtful things for them. Eva's daughter Jen recently tested positive for Huntington's Disease.
Jen is a Toddler Approved follower and young mom of three kids ages 8, 5, and 3. Jen is an amazing mom, wife, and friend. She is an incredible example to me of hope and courage during difficult challenges. Huntington's Disease (HD) is a devastating, hereditary, degenerative brain disorder that results in a loss of cognitive, behavioral and physical control, and for which, presently, there is no cure. You can read more about HD here.
Through this fun Halloween series I hope that parents and caregivers will have a good time with their kids and at the same time I hope to raise funds and increase awareness for Huntington's Disease.
Along with this series I am helping with a Team Hope Run/Walk for HD on October 25th if any of you are in the San Francisco Bay area and want to join in. Go here to join my team.
All proceeds from this Halloween Move & Create for Hope newsletter series will be donated by me to The Huntington's Disease Society of America to be used to support those with HD, like my friend Jen, and their families.
