Rainbow Fish Crafts and Activities {Virtual Book Club for Kids Blog Hop}

This month for Virtual Book Club for Kids we are spotlighting books written by the author Marcus Pfister!

Marcus Pfister has written many many books, but the ones he is most known for are the books in The Rainbow Fish series!

The Rainbow Fish is a book about a little fish who finds friendship and happiness when he learns to share. My kids especially love the glittery scales on the front cover of the book. I had one little student who read this book every day for an entire year when I was her teacher. Whenever I read this book now I feel like I am hanging out with an old friend. If you haven't read the book, you might want to check it out with your little one and give it a try... and then pick one of these crafts or activities to do afterwards.

Here are a few Rainbow Fish inspired crafts and activities we've tried...

Fizzy Rainbow Fish

Head on over to Playing with Words 365 for our simple tutorial on how to make these fizzy frozen vinegar rainbow fish. They are so fun to play with and great for fostering speech and language development too!

Water Gun Painted Fish Craft

Take some paper and a water gun filled with paint outdoors for some rainbow fish creating. Check out the full water gun rainbow fish tutorial here.

Paper Plate Rainbow Fish Craft

This is the easiest rainbow fish craft ever. All you need are some markers, scissors, a stapler, and a paper plate. You can find the quick paper plate rainbow fish craft instructions here.

Rainbow Fish Bowl Craft

Although The Rainbow Fish swam in the ocean, we have little fish in a bowl at our house, so my kiddos wanted to create their own rainbow fish bowl craft. You can find our rainbow fish bowl craft tutorial here.

Do you have any other favorite Rainbow Fish crafts or activities?

Our other Virtual Book Club for Kids blogging friends will be sharing their Marcus Pfister crafts and activities in the blog hop below. Make sure to come back over the next few weeks and check them out. If you have a craft or activity inspired by one of Marcus Pfister's books, come and add it to our linky!
