Any guesses what our favorite St. Patrick's Day theme is this week?
RAINBOWS!!
We have lots of rainbow food coloring paint left over, and I hate wasting supplies, so we decided to make a sweet mini marshmallow rainbow.
Materials Needed: mini marshmallow (lots if your kids inhale marshmallows as quickly as my son does), Elmers glue, cardboard half circle (mine was cut from a paper plate), food coloring paint (water + food coloring in rainbow colors... we made ours yesterday)
Directions:
1. Add some glue to your cardboard.
2. Dip the marshmallow in the first color, turn it color facing up and stick it to the cardboard. It is a little slimy, but that's half the fun! 🙂
3. Definitely eat some marshmallows as you go... makes the project even sweeter. 🙂
4. Keep working until you've done as many marshmallow colors as you have room for.
5. Let your project dry and then hang it!!
Do you think we'll find a pot o' gold at the end of this one??
We are also attempting a rainbow carnation science experiment as we speak... no progress yet... I think we might need to add more food coloring? I'll post pictures if it works!!
Happy Weekend!
