At the last football game we attended, I noticed several spectators wearing gloves with team colored pom poms attached to the end of the fingertips. I knew my daughter would love a pair, but didn't feel like shelling out $25+ for something I could easily make myself (and for much cheaper).
Here's how I did it . . .
Materials Needed:
Yarn
Mittens (I scored a 2 pack at the Dollar Store)
Scissors
Tapestry needle

Step 1 - Make 10 similar sized Yarn "Pom Poms" - the most time consuming part of the whole process (I recommend catching up on some TV while you do this). If you do not already know how to make yarn pom poms - I'd suggest watching this YouTube tutorial from Art of Crochet by Teresa.

**Be sure to leave 2 long strands of yarn at the end of your pom poms.**
Step 2 - Thread one of the longer strands of yarn through the eye of the tapestry needle.
Step 3 - Thread needle through fingertip of glove until pom pom rests snugly against the fingertip.
Step 4 - Bring needle through center of pom pom and back down again through the tip of the glove. Repeat 1-2 more times until you feel pom pom is securely fastened to glove.
Step 5 - Double (or triple) knot the remaining two long pieces of yarn to secure pom pom to fingertip.
Repeat the entire process with remaining pom poms until you end up with something like this:
My daughter has had so much fun playing with/wearing these. I have never seen her so eager to put gloves on to go outside.
Oh this looks so much fun! :)
